Falsies: How to choose the right lashes

We all know [false eyelashes] are a must for all fashionistas going for full-on Bollywood glam.
Its easy to see why these fake flutters are so popular with celebs and regular folk like us alike....they are a cheap, easy way to glam up any look.
But with so many versions on the market how do you know which are right for you?
Well, fear not! My guide below should help you decide which are best for you.  Whether you are after a natural everyday look or full-on drama, there are perfect falsies for every occasion.

[Fine sparse lashes?]
Go for thick brushy lashes of one length.  These will help create needed volume with our looking too fake. Try to also pick lashes with a thin strip for a more natural effect.

[More Definition?]
Choose lashes with more length at the outer corners.  These will enhance your natural eye shape and give a fluttery look.

[Need full-on glamour?]
Try going for an ultra long lash with spiky lashes - these will instantly add statement and drama to the eyes.

[Doe-eyes]
For that 60's inspired doe-eyed look go for long fluffy lashes of one length.

Some Top Tips:
- always measure the lashes against your eyes - badly fitting lashes will make your eyes look closed.
- allow the glue to dry slightly (usually for 30 seconds) before applying the lashes; they will bond to your natural lashes quicker.
- use a liquid liner to blend the false lash strip to your eyelid.

Hair Trends: The UPDO

It seems some of our Bollywood Beauties have already been supporting the 2012 hair trend: the Updo.
[Sonam Kapoor] and [Deepika Padukone] were our pick of the bunch looking stunning with their respective takes on the trend:
(The picture quality is poor - when we have HQ ones we will update!)

Deepika's side swept fish plait at the Colour Screen Awards looks complicated but once you get the hang of hit they are pretty easy to do.  Have to give a mention to the gorgeous gown too - best dressed of the night for me!

Sonam definitely hit a home run for us with this gorgeous updo at a recent book launch.  The hair is pulled back in a modern quiff giving a hint of vintage chic.  Love.

Whether you choose the messy look or the more sculptural style, you are sure to be on trend this spring/summer.
